I want you to know how special Torchwood is to me. It was my escape from the nastyness of the real world, for an hour a week. That one hour would keep me going, full of that feel good, proudness at being a human, and while the show was filming, the fan communitys all us Woodies had come to gether to make would ensure that we kept that feeling alive for as long as we had to till it came back. Season one and two helped us find our places with the charaters. And season 3 broke them.

I understood the deaths of Owen and Tosh, they had reached the limit of their charaters, any more would tarnish them. But what were you thinkning with Children of Earth?!? Thousands of Loyal fans waited on hooked breath for this season, and you punch them all to the ground. It almost feels like you've sold us all out, ignored the fans for the sake of dramas sake. Whats one more death to the show?!?

I'm not very lucky with heros. Every guy who i've looked up to has died, my father, friend. Torchwood gave me a charater who i could relate, watch develope, live. The Misfit out of a team of misfits. Ianto jones. In the background with witt and sacasm as his shield. How many of us do that?!? we all do at some point. thats why so many of us fans connected with Him. Thats what sci-fi is for isn't? The impossible becoming a reality, a misfit being a hero.

Why then, when fans are promised more depth to our charaters (he is the only team member we have no background for, we know more about Jack then him!) he is killed off?!? Why then, when fans are promised a developement to the relationship between Jack and Ianto, they seem to be going backwards, there was more warmth between the two in Journeys End.

The last episode tonight was empty. There was no heart, just BBC one requirments. Jack would never run, The doctor taught him that. How is it you seem to not know your own charaters?!? How can you not know your own fans!?!? Gwen maybe the heart of torchwoods, But a heart is useless with out the body. And a Body is empty without a soul. Jack was that body. Ianto was that soul, the human element we all could connect with in an alien and scary world.

The death of Ianto Jones was the Death of Torchwood. I hope you can understand that. Check online. Check the forums. You've hurt so many tonight, and lost alot of people, not just for Torchwood but the Doctor as well.
